Prerequisites for Opening External Applications
To open external applications in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM, you must meet the following prerequisites.
- NextGen® API Suite Manager must be installed. For details, refer to the following:

- Depending on the application you are opening, the system may need to have network connectivity to the server of a third-party application vendor. The API connectivity requirements would have already been met during NextGen® API Suite Manager installation. You can contact the third-party application vendor to inquire about any additional network connectivity requirements for functions beyond the scope of API integration.
