Using Collapsible Panels

Regular and Popup-type templates may contain one or more panels that you can collapse or expand to show or hide content as needed. You can use these panels to view existing information and document new information. These panels enable you to view a larger amount of content on a single template. Panels can be expanded or collapsed through triggers or a toggle button (arrow) on the panel header. An up arrow indicates an expanded panel, while a down arrow indicates a collapsed panel. You can double-click the template panel header to toggle the panel expand and panel collapse. An alert message appears when you double-click the panel header for expand and collapse. The alert messages are applied through alert triggers in the Template Editor. For example, when you double-click the panel header for expand the alert message. Validate Data Deletion from Popup Templates

A validation window opens if you add a record in a Popup template and then close it, reopen it, and select the D key on the keyboard, or the Delete button on the template. To delete the record, you can select Yes. Parent topic: Using Templates

Navigation Bar in Popup Template

A Popup template may display a navigation bar at the top, which enables you to go directly to the next step in a workflow without having to return to the main template. The navigation bar contains buttons you can select to open: Another Popup template. One of the following NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules: Allergies (Medication) Diagnoses (Billing ICD List tab in Problems module) Medications Problems (Problem List tab in Problems module) Procedures The buttons display images and tooltips that identify the template or module that can be opened. When you open a Popup template or module from a navigation bar, the parent Popup template is saved and does not remain in view. If a NextGen® Enterprise EHR module is opened, it is refreshed when you close it. Note: If the navigation bar is reconfigured during your work session, you must log off NextGen® Enterprise EHR and then log back on to view the changes. Parent topic: Using Templates

Enable the Popup Template OK and Cancel Button Bar

You can show the OK and Cancel button bar instead of the standard OK and Cancel buttons on a Popup template. The button bar keeps the OK and Cancel buttons visible when the template is scrolled at run time. You can map the OK and Cancel buttons on the bar to the original OK and Cancel buttons or to other buttons on the Popup template to execute the trigger from the button it is mapped to. You can place the OK and Cancel button bar on any Popup template type. You can display both a navigation bar and the OK and Cancel button bar on the same Popup template. Note: If you map the OK button on the bar to the original OK button, the Popup template is saved and closed when the user selects OK. If you map the OK button to another button, set up a Save &Close Template trigger on that button. If you map buttons other than the original OK and Cancel buttons to the bar, you can hide them by selecting the Hidden check box in the field's property window or using a Hide Item trigger. Set up Hide Item Trigger

You can hide one or more selected fields on the template at run time using hide item trigger. Follow the steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Hide Item action. The Hide Template Field window opens. From Available Template Fields, select each field you want to hide, and then select Add. The selected fields appear in the Fields to Hide pane. You can select the multiple fields by selecting the Ctrl button. You can remove the selected fields by selecting the fields from the Fields to Hide pane and selecting the Remove button. From Filter, select the required filters. The Available Template Fields pane now displays the selected filter. Note: If you have selected multiple fields to set up this trigger, the fields are automatically selected. The field that triggers the action is not included. You can remove any of the selected fields and add others. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. To copy the script to clipboard, you can select Copy to C
