Set up Toggle Panel Trigger

The Toggle Panel action enables users to expand and collapse one or more panels on a template. Note: Another way to toggle collapsible panels is through a toggle button on the panel header. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Toggle Panel action. The Toggle Panel window opens. This window lists each collapsible panel that has been added to the template. From the Action list, select the applicable action: Collapse. Collapses all or selected panels. Cycle Down. Cycles all panels as follows: Moves and collapses the top panel down one in position. Expands and moves the last panel to the top. Cycle Up. Cycles all panels as follows: Expands and moves the second panel to the top. Moves and collapses the top panel to the bottom position. Defaults. Restores the default trigger settings to all panels. Expand. Expands all or selected panels. Toggle. Switches all or selected panels to the opposite state. Top. Reorders one or more selected panels according to the order

Customizing the Template Panels

You can expand, collapse, and re-arrange the template panels as needed. Each template consists of horizontal panels that are used to organize your documentation by relevance. You can expand, collapse, and re-arrange the panels as needed. Changes made from the Panel Control section are an individual preference and are remembered for the next time you open the template. When moving through the panels, you can manually expand or collapse the panels by selecting the arrows on each panel. expand the panels You can expand or collapse all the panels on the template at once by selecting the Toggle arrows in the Panel Control section. Toggle arrows When moving through the panels during documentation, you can either scroll down the screen or use the Cycle option in the Panel Control section. Cycling the panels moves the panels up or down on the screen without you having to scroll on the screen. You can also move panels by dragging and dropping them into the desired place to change the order. The

Panel Controls

Panels display information according to type such as Vital Signs or Allergies. Templates can contain one or more panels used for viewing existing information and documenting new information. Panels allow users to customize the order that information appears on a template. To change the order of the panels, users can click on the title bar of a panel and drag it to a different position on the template. If a user changes the order of the panels, they remain in that order from patient to patient until the order is changed again. Expand Panel The Panel Controls section includes two pairs of buttons. The Toggle buttons expand and collapse all the panels and the Cycle buttons rotate the panels through all positions from top to bottom, one position at a time. Insert a Collapsible Panel Field

You can insert expandable/collapsible panels to show/hide a larger amount of content on a single template. You can include a background image on the panel. After you create a collapsible panel, you can add other fields and triggers to it. You can also swap the position of two selected collapsible panels. Note: At run time, the states of all collapsible panels on a template are recorded in the user_template_panel_prefs.panels_open database field after the template is closed. This database field contains a 1 if the corresponding panel is open, and a 0 if the corresponding panel is closed. The order that this field displays the state of each collapsible panel is synced with the order that the panels are displayed in the user_template_panel_prefs.panels database field. The state of the collapsible panels is recorded for each template that is closed by the user and each recording is only associated with the user who is currently logged on to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Panel Controls

You can expand or collapse all the panels and change the order of panels on a template. Panels display information according to the type such as Vital Signs or Allergies. You can change the order of the panels by selecting the title bar of a panel and dragging it to a different position on the template. Template Synopsis

The Template Synopsis function enables you to automatically check the items and runs against all the triggers on the template. The fields which are partially out of bounds on the panel also appear in the Info grid and Information box. Note: The Template Synopsis window opens only if the fields inside Collapsible Panel are partially out of bounds. On the Main toolbar, select Template Synopsis. The Template Synopsis window opens. All the fields which are partially out of bounds on the panel appears on the Info grid. Select the field in the Info grid. The field information appears in the Information box. If the field partially crosses the header of the panel then two separate entries are displayed which are partially out of bounds on panel header and panel border. Note: The field names associated with DBPickList, PickList and Stored Procedure triggers using the deleted Stored Procedures, appear in the Template Synopsis window. Select OK.
