Add an Employer

Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Employer tab. Select the open menu , and select New. The Employer Lookup window appears. In the Employer Name field, enter all or part of the employer's name. Select Find. All employers that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records list. Note: Items available for selection are from the Employers master file in File Maintenance. If no records are found, the following prompt appears stating that no records were found. From the Matching Records list, double-click to select the employer. The Employer Maintenance window appears. Fields on the Employer Maintenance window are available for modification only if you have security access rights in System Administrator to update the Employers master file. Otherwise, all fields on the window are grayed-out and cannot be modified. CAUTION: Modifications made to any field in the Demographics section of the Employer Mainten

Modify an Employer

Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Employer tab. Select the row for the employer to be modified. Select the Open Menu button, and select Open. The Employer Maintenance window appears. CAUTION: Modifications made to any field in the Demographics section of the Employer Maintenance window update the Employers master file in File Maintenance. They also update employer records for all persons and patients already linked to the employer. In the Employment Profile section at the bottom of the window, modify the following fields as needed: Occupation Employment Status Work Phone Extension Retirement Date Primary Employer To save changes and close the window, select OK. Modify or Delete Employer Information in Patient Charts

Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Employer tab. Select the employer row. To modify the employer information, do the following: Select the open menu icon, and then select Open.The Employer Maintenance window opens. CAUTION: Modifications made to any field in the Demographics section of the Employer Maintenance window result in updates to the Employers master file in File Maintenance. In Employment Profile, update the information as needed. Select OK. To delete an employer from the patient record, select the open menu icon, select Delete, and then select OK. To flag an employer as primary, select the open menu icon, and then select Make Primary Employer.The Primary column now displays Y. Note: In the Employer Maintenance window, the Primary Employer checkbox is automatically selected for the employer. Parent topic: Managing Employer Information

Add Employer Information to Patient Charts in NextGen® Enterprise PM

Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Employer tab. Select the open menu icon, and then select New. Add an Employer Guarantor

Open the Patient Information window for the desired patient. Select the Relations/Roles tab. In the Guarantor section, select the Open Menu button, and select Employer as Guarantor. The Employer Lookup window appears. In the Employer Name field, enter all or part of the employer's name. Select Find. All employers that match the search criteria entered display in the Matching Records list. Note: Items available for selection are from the Employers master file in File Maintenance. If no records are found, the following prompt appears: No records were found! From the Matching Records list, double-click to select the employer. The Employer Maintenance window appears. CAUTION: Do not make modifications in the Demographics section of the window. These changes update the Employers master file in File Maintenance.
