Medication Toolbar

Button	Description
	Prompts the Medication Search window.
	Prints the prescription for a selected medication. Temporary medications are unavailable for print.
	Selects whether you wish to Fax or eRx the selected medication and upon your selection Fax the prescription to a pharmacy. Temporary medications are unavailable for fax.
	Renews the selected medication, including selection of renewing the selected medication "as is," renew and edit, renew and print, renew and fax, renew and eRx.
	Manually checks for interactions for the selected medication.
	Stops the selected medication or stops the selected medication and mark it as ineffective. Note: The Interactions tool can be enabled for automatic verification through User Preferences. If automatic verification is disabled you have an option to perform Interactions verification manually for each specific medication by selecting the Interactions button.
	Prompts medication-specific Monograph information for patient education, as well as ability to look up External Reference for the selected medication.
	Checks dosing information for the prescribed medication.
	Deletes the selected medication.
	Performs eligibility check on the selected patient. Note: Requires either Retail or Mail-Order pharmacy enrollment.
	Views available Medication History from Retail or Mail-Order network. Note: Requires either Retail or Mail-Order pharmacy enrollment.
	Prompts the Clinical Reconciliation window.

Medication Toolbar

The Medication toolbar contains the following buttons: Button Description Prompts the Medication Search window. Prints the prescription for a selected medication. Manage Patient Pharmacies

Use the Manage Patient Pharmacies link on the Send Prescription window to add the following default pharmacies: Primary pharmacy Secondary pharmacy Mail-order pharmacy In the Send Prescription window, select Manage Patient Pharmacies. Note: You must have the right to add prescriptions, and ePrescribe must be enabled for the Manage Patient Pharmacies link to appear. The Manage Patient Pharmacies window opens. Manage Patient Pharmacies window Select the ellipsis button next to the enter of pharmacy you want to search for. The Pharmacy Search window opens. Search and select a pharmacy. For the primary and secondary pharmacies, you can search and select either a retail or mail-order pharmacy. For mail-order pharmacies, a mail-order pharmacy must be selected. The Mail-Order Pharmacies Only check box is selected by default and the search results display only the mail-order pharmacies. Select Save. Select Medication from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Select to prompt the Medication Search window. Medication Search Select the type of search: DEA Class, Class or Name. Enter the search criteria. Select whether to include Generics and/or Retired medications. Clear the Active Medication check box if you wish to include all available medications. Select Search. Select the desired medications. Select OK. The medications display in Medication Search pane on the Medications window. Report Filter Select whether to Include or Exclude displayed medications. Select whether to display only the patients Who Have Never Had or Who Have Ever Had before or after a specific date or between a specific date range or Who Have Not Had Since a specific date. To select a fixed date range, check Who Have Ever Had and select Between from the list. The Date Range window opens. Date Range Select the dates. Select OK.
