Import a Dictionary

Before you begin

Ensure that the dictionary file that you want to import is accessible on your local computer or network.
When you import a dictionary file, you can either merge it with your dictionary or replace your existing dictionary.
  1. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. From the main menu, select Tools, and then select Preferences.
    The Preferences window appears.

  3. Under Spell Check, select Spell Check Options.
    The Spell Check Options window appears.

  4. Select the User Dictionary tab.

  5. Under User Dictionary Import/Export, do one of the following:
    • Select Merge with your existing user dictionary, to merge the imported dictionary with your existing user dictionary,.
    • Select Replace your existing user dictionary, to replace your existing user dictionary.
  6. Select Import User Dictionary.
