When two or more providers with the same preference name exist for a patient, the Primary indicator can be easily changed from one provider to another.
- Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient.
- Select the Provider tab.
- Select the row for the provider to be flagged as primary.
The Primary column currently displays N.
- Select the open menu
, and select Make Primary.
A message appears if you want to make the provider as primary.
- To flag the provider as primary, select Yes.
The
Primary column now displays
Y.
Note: On the Modify Patient Provider window, the Primary Preference Name check box is automatically selected for the provider.
