You can perform tasks for various types of equipment reports, such as generating, viewing, faxing, comparing, and deleting. IEM User Interface Versions Two versions of the Integrated Equipment Module are available to support different levels of Midmark equipment. Attaching Equipment Report PDFs

You can configure the NextGen Enterprise EHR Equipment Reports module to automatically attach a Midmark, Hillrom Welch Allyn, or Hillrom HeartCentrix (former Cardiac Science) report in PDF format to a patient encounter when the equipment report is acquired or modified, therefore keeping the report PDF in-sync with the equipment report. You can control this feature with the Equipment > Store PDF Report on Equipment Report Modify option in System Administrator Universal Preferences. Equipment report PDFs can be saved only for Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science), Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® , and Midmark equipment reports. PDFs cannot be saved for GE® CardioSoft equipment reports. Optionally, you can configure the Integrated Equipment module to also save equipment report PDFs in categories on the Categories tab. You can fax equipment report PDFs, send equipment report PDFs to NextGen® PxP Portal, and delete report PDFs from patient encounters. Note: To generate equipment reports in

Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Devices Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Devices This section describes how to acquire data and view reports from Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ or CardioPerfect® Workstation 1.6.0 and above software that interfaces with ECG and spirometry devices. Note: Statements in this section apply to both Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ and CardioPerfect® devices, except where otherwise specified. For resting ECG and spirometry devices, the example screen shots are all from Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ . If you are using CardioPerfect 1.6.4 or later with multiple sites, you must ensure to match the site names in the Site Manager setup and the EHR practice. Acquiring and Viewing Data Collected by Medical Equipment

On the Integrated Equipment Module (IEM), you can acquire and view data collected by medical diagnostic equipment manufactured by Midmark Diagnostics, Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® , Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science), and General Electric. Note: The diagnostic cardiology product line that was originally manufactured byCardiac Science®, was later sold to Mortara Instrument, then Welch Allyn® , then Hillrom™ . This product line includes theBurdick™andQuinton™brands. In this guide, these devices are referred to as " Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science)" devices. When you perform a test, such as an ECG, on a patient using an interfaced medical equipment, the IEM acquires data from the device and can generate a PDF report that can be viewed in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, sent to NextGen® PxP Portal, and viewed in NextGen® Mobile. Equipment Field Map Master File

The Equipment Field Map master file enables you to retrieve readings from integrated equipment that is interfaced with NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically. The readings display in the Extended Medical Record Popup Template. The benefit of the Equipment Field Map master file is that the data captured from medical equipment can be automatically saved to a specified template instead of being entered manually. The copying of data to the template occurs whenever an equipment report is saved to or deleted from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: This feature is optional, and you do not need to copy data fields to a template because the data is always available for viewing via the View Report button on the Equipment Summary window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Configure Equipment Field Map for Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® CardioPerfect® Resting ECG

You can map a Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Resting ECG device to a template in NextGen® Clinical Templates 7.6.1 and above. Access File Maintenance. Select Master Files > System > Equipment Field Map. The Equipment Field Map List window appears. From the Equipment Types list, double-click Welch Allyn Resting ECG. The Equipment Field Map - Welch Allyn Resting ECG window opens. Assign the following values: Template Type: Extended Medical Record Popup Template Name: card_restingecgdata_ Parent Template: CARD_restingECG Note: For NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 7.6 and older, use card_restingecg_ for the Template Name and RestingECG for the Parent Template.
