Enter Population Health Credential Settings

For each practice in your enterprise that should have access to Population Health Sync reporting, you must enter the API Authentication Key and the Secret Key in Enterprise Preferences. The API Authentication Key is a specific digital code that authenticates access to the interface that provides Population Health Sync reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The Secret Key is a client-specific key generated by Population Health Sync for authentication with the Population Health Sync API. The API Authentication Key and the Secret Key are the same for all practices in an enterprise.

The credential settings are retained and appear the next time you access the Population Health Settings. The keys can be removed later if a practice should no longer participate in Population Health Sync.

  1. To obtain the API Authentication Key and the Secret Key, contact your Population Health Sync support team.
The keys may be sent to you by email or instant messaging.
  2. Under Population Health Settings, enter Credential Settings.

    1. Select the practice you want to enable Population Health Sync for.
    2. Copy the API Authentication key provided to you, and paste it in API Authentication Key.
    3. Copy the Secret Key provided to you, and paste it in Secret Key.
    4. Select the next practice if you have more than one practice to enter credentials for and paste the same API Authentication Key and Secret Key for that practice.
  3. After you have entered the credentials for each participating practice, select OK.
