Access Enterprise Preferences for Population Health Sync

In File Maintenance, under EHR System Master Files, select Enterprises. The Enterprises List window opens. Double-click the enterprise you want to set the preference for. The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. In the Preference List, select Reporting. Under Select Reporting, select the Population Health Sync option, if not already selected. The reporting option last selected in this window is retained by default. If you did not previously select a reporting option, Clinical Quality Reporting is the default. When you select Population Health Sync, the Population Health Settings appear. To complete the initial setup of Population Health Sync Reporting, enter the global settings and credential settings. The settings appear if they were previously entered. Enter Population Health Credential Settings

For each practice in your enterprise that should have access to Population Health Sync reporting, you must enter the API Authentication Key and the Secret Key in Enterprise Preferences. The API Authentication Key is a specific digital code that authenticates access to the interface that provides Population Health Sync reporting information to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The Secret Key is a client-specific key generated by Population Health Sync for authentication with the Population Health Sync API. The API Authentication Key and the Secret Key are the same for all practices in an enterprise. The credential settings are retained and appear the next time you access the Population Health Settings. The keys can be removed later if a practice should no longer participate in Population Health Sync. Enter Population Health Global Settings

The first time you set up Population Health Sync reporting in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must enter global system settings for it in Enterprise Preferences. These settings apply to all enterprises in NextGen® Enterprise EHR who use Population Health Sync. The settings are retained and do not need to be entered again. To obtain the global settings values, contact your Population Health Sync support team. The information may be sent to you by email or instant messaging. Under Population Health Settings > Global Settings, enter the values. To save the global settings before you enter the credential settings, select OK. Disable Population Health Sync Reporting

To switch to HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, in Reporting Enterprise Preferences, select the Clinical Quality Reporting option under Select Reporting. The global settings and credential settings for Population Health Sync are retained in Enterprise Preferences but are inactive. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the Population Heath Sync section on the Patient Information Card gray out and no longer operational. To return to Population Health Sync, you can select the option again under Select Reporting. To remove access to Population Health Sync from a practice, in Reporting Enterprise Preferences, clear API Authorization Key and Secret Key for the practice in the Credential Settings section. Enterprise Preferences for Population Health Sync

Note: In Enterprise Preferences, you can set up both Population Health Sync and Clinical Quality Reporting, but you can select only one of these reporting features at a time to view in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The settings are retained if you switch from one reporting option to the other. To configure Enterprise Preferences for Population Health Sync reporting, you must initially enter global system settings that apply across enterprises and then enter credential settings for each participating practice in your enterprise. Disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting

To disable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, do the following: To switch to Population Health Sync reporting, select the Population Health Sync option under Select Reporting on the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window. The API Authentication Key, HQM API URL, and the selected practices are retained in Enterprise Preferences but are inactive. In NextGen® Enterprise, the File menu commands, Top toolbar buttons, and Patient Information Card button for generating HQM Clinical Quality reports are unavailable and are no longer operational. To return to HQM Clinical Quality Reporting, you can just select the option again under Select Reporting. On the Reporting Enterprise Preferences window, clear the API Authorization Key. To enable HQM Clinical Quality Reporting again, you must perform the initial setup, entering the API Authentication Key and selecting the practices. To disable both Clinical Quality Reporting and Population Health Sync, remove all keys for both on the Reporting Enterprise
