Create the Orders Filter Display Name, Commands, and Columns

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the Filters bar in the Orders panel of the Orders Summary tab, select Manage Filters.
    • On the Filters bar in your custom Practice template with an Orders Management order control, select Manage Filters.
    The Set Orders Summary Filters window opens, with the Display tab in view. The initial display is for the All filter.

  2. Select the New Filter .
    The default Filter Name for the new filter is Filter_ and the filter number. The Make this practice filter at the lower right of the window is selected by default, and the new filter is added to the list of Practice filters.
    • To create a private filter, clear the Make this practice filter check box.

    The new filter appears under a Private heading.
  3. Enter a Filter Name.
  4. To display a description when hovering over the filter, enter the ToolTip description.
  5. In the Select commands to filter section, select the check box for each command to display for processing orders for this filter.
    All available order commands are selected by default.
    • To exclude a command, clear its check box.
    • To clear all selections, select Uncheck All.
    • To include all commands, select Check All.
  6. In the Select orders summary grid columns to display section, select the order columns to display and their display sequence.
    All available order columns and their sequence are selected by default.
    • Scroll down to see all the available columns.
    • To exclude a column, clear its check box.
    • To change the column display sequence, select the column row, and then select Move Down or Move Up.
  7. To continue setting up the filter, follow the steps in

    Select the Orders Filter Order Types, Order Status, and Date Criteria.

  8. If you do not want to continue, select Cancel.
    A confirmation window opens, prompting you to either cancel your action and return to the Set Orders Summary Filters window, or close the Set Orders Summary Filters window without saving the filter. You cannot save the filter by selecting Apply or Save All & Apply until you select the filter order types on the Data tab.
