Change User Preferences

You can change many of the default user preferences within NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Preferences window. Select the tab that contains the preferences to change. Change the preference in the selected tab. Select Apply. Depending on your selections, a warning message may appear, informing you that the preference changes are not in effect until the next time you open the application. Select OK to close the message. Select OK to accept the changes you have made and exit from the Preferences window. To exit without saving changes, select Cancel. Parent topic: User Preferences

Copy User Preferences

The Copy User Preferences function enables you to copy specific user preferences, tasks, appointments preferences, and PAQ options from one user to another user or to another user group within the same practice. For more information on tasks, appointments preferences, and PAQ options, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR . Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Admin menu, select Copy User Preferences. The Copy User Preferences window opens. From the Copy From section, select the User to copy preferences from and the specific Preference to copy. From the Copy To pane, do one of the following: Select the user or a user group to copy the selected preference to, and select Add Selected. Drag and drop specific users or the user group to the right pane. Select Add All to select all users in the practice. The selected user or user group is listed in the right pane. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window allows you to set up custom preferences to do the following. PAQ Preferences window Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Select Task Recipients for New Task trigger

When you execute an Add New Task trigger, the Select Task Recipients window may open, enabling you to select one or more users or workgroups to assign the task to. The Available Users/Workgroups pane contains folders for Favorites, Workgroups, and All Users. Note: The display of task recipients can be practice-specific. For assistance with system settings, contact your system administrator. If you do not select a recipient for the task you are creating, the task is assigned to you. For more information on setting up workgroups and favorites, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Priority list, select one of the following: High Normal Low (default) To assign the task to users under Favorites, do one of the following: To assign the task to all favorite users, select the Favorites folder, and then select Add .
