Change User Preferences

You can change many of the default user preferences within NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Preferences window. Select the tab that contains the preferences to change. Change the preference in the selected tab. Select Apply. Depending on your selections, a warning message may appear, informing you that the preference changes are not in effect until the next time you open the application. Select OK to close the message. Select OK to accept the changes you have made and exit from the Preferences window. To exit without saving changes, select Cancel. Parent topic: User Preferences

PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Task Recipients for New Task trigger

When you execute an Add New Task trigger, the Select Task Recipients window may open, enabling you to select one or more users or workgroups to assign the task to. The Available Users/Workgroups pane contains folders for Favorites, Workgroups, and All Users. Note: The display of task recipients can be practice-specific. For assistance with system settings, contact your system administrator. If you do not select a recipient for the task you are creating, the task is assigned to you. For more information on setting up workgroups and favorites, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Priority list, select one of the following: High Normal Low (default) To assign the task to users under Favorites, do one of the following: To assign the task to all favorite users, select the Favorites folder, and then select Add . Provider Approval Queue

The following lists all the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preferences. Preference Description Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ Limits the minimum refresh value that can be set in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR >Task Preferences, users cannot set the refresh value lesser than the value set in Universal Preferences. If the value set in Universal Preferences is >99, then the minimum value that can be set is 99. The value cannot be changed. Any numerical value is accepted. View Items Across Practices Enables you to view your PAQ items across practices when you are a provider who has access to multiple practices within an enterprise. You must manually set the option to view your PAQ items across practices. The value shows True if the preference is enabled and False if disabled. Create a NextGen® Enterprise PM Task

You can create a task for NextGen® Enterprise PM related to a chart, user, or encounter. You can send the task to one or more selected users or workgroups. Recipients can view tasks assigned to them from the Worklog Manager window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Practice Workflow User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. From the New list on the Clinical Tasking tab toolbar, select PM Task. The New PM Task window opens, showing the default source and task types, today as the default due date,and Normal as the priority level. From the Source Type list, select Chart (default), Encounter, or User. If you select Encounter, you must also select a patient and attach an encounter. The default task type for the selected source type is automatically filled in. The Chart source type has two task type options.
