Medication Search Favorites

The Medication Search window enables you to set up user-defined lists of favorite medications, and set up specific defaults for the medications saved as your favorites. Use a favorites list to prescribe medications faster by selecting the required medication from your list and bypassing the search process. Note: The Medication Search Favorites List is displayed based on the provider selected in the toolbar or the Medications module. Copy the Current Configurations

You can copy the current configurations to another specialty, practice, or provider using the copy button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. To copy your preferences on the Framework Content system template, select the Specialty, Practice, or Provider. In the Copy To section, enter any or all of the following: Specialty Practice Provider Copy To To duplicate the setup preferences, click the Copy button. Creating Favorite Groups by Provider, Practice, or Speciality

You can create favorite groups by provider, practice or specialty. Once you have defined a Test Favorites group, you use Practice Preferences to specify a default list of favorites for the practice. That Test Favorites group is then associated with that practice each time NextGen® Enterprise EHR is loaded. Filter Favorites List by Tags

You can filter the FAVORITES list using user or practice tags. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Open CPOE. Select Favorites. The FAVORITES list appears displaying the order items that are associated with the selected tags. Note: For more information on associating order items to a tag, see Create a Favorite Order Items List. To filter the FAVORITES list by user and practice tags, select the tags from the Tags list. Copy User Preferences

The Copy User Preferences function enables you to copy specific user preferences, tasks, appointments preferences, and PAQ options from one user to another user or to another user group within the same practice. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Admin menu, select Copy User Preferences. The Copy User Preferences window opens. From the Copy From section, select the User to copy preferences from and the specific Preference to copy. From the Copy To pane, do one of the following: Select the user or a user group to copy the selected preference to, and select Add Selected. Drag and drop specific users or the user group to the right pane. Select Add All to select all users in the practice. The selected user or user group is listed in the right pane. Set up Provider Preferences

Setting up Provider preferences enables NextGen® Enterprise EHR to automatically enter provider information into the associated fields throughout the application. In the Provider section of the Medical Records tab, select the Ellipsis button . The Select Provider window opens. Do one of the following: Search for a provider by specifying searchable parameters, such as Degree or Name of the provider. Select Search. Double-click the provider in the search results, or select the provider and select OK. To exit without selecting a provider, select Cancel. To search again, select Clear and specify different parameters. To clear the name in the Provider field, on the Preferences window, select Clear. If the name is cleared, at the initial logon, the Select Provider window opens. You can then select a provider to begin using the application.
