You can select a medication from the list displaying medication search results.
- Open NextGen® Mobile.
- Select a patient and open the New Rx view.
- To search medications for a patient using formulary or non-formulary medication search, do one of the following:
- In Search Medications, enter the medication name or enter at least three characters and perform a medication search.
- For formulary search enabled providers, select the Search Medications list and select a formulary search criteria. Enter the medication name or enter at least three characters and perform a medication search.
The formulary and non-formulary medication search results display a list of both generic and brand name medications.
- To view medication brand list, select Brands Only. To view generic medication list, select Generic Only. To return to the full list, select Show All.
- To search for a medication from a medication favorite group, select the desired group in New Rx.
The search result displays a list of medications with the corresponding medication details saved for the group in
NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Select the desired medication from the list.
The selected medication appears on the Rx Details view. For formulary medication, the Formulary field displays the formulary eligibility icon.
