Consent Policy Information
Field | Description |

External System | You can select the external system that contains the consent policy. This could be a Health Information Exchange (HIE), Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), or any other system. |
Enterprise Patient? | Indicates whether the patient is an enterprise patient. |
Consent Status | You can specify whether the patient consents to sharing their information. If you do not change this value, it defaults to the consent policy for the practice (if there is one), and otherwise defaults to the consent policy for the enterprise. |
Effective Date | If you change the default value in Consent Status, you can select the date when the patient consent was captured,. The default is the current date. You are not enabled to select a date earlier than the patient's date of birth. If you select Use Default, the date is automatically reset to the date when the enterprise or practice policy was created, or to the patient's date of birth, whichever is later. |
Patient Override? | Indicates whether the Consent Status field has been set to a value other than the default. |
Consent Status applies to the following practices | Displays the practices affected by this consent policy. |
Do Not Ask Again | If selected, this option enables you to enter the reason why the patient wants to avoid getting notified. |
Has Document | You can indicate if a consent document exists for the patient. If you select the check box, you can specify the location of the consent document. |
Comments | You can enter any comments. |
