Charges

The Charges call type concerns communications that involve charges made for a patient.

  1. Select the New Call button and select Charges from the Call Type list.
    The Panels and Panel Items opens.
  2. Select the Call Information and Contact Information panel items from the panels.
  3. Select Action(s).
    The Action(s) option appears.
    Action(s)

    • Select the type of charge from Physician management, Non-physician management, or No Charge.

      If you need assistance regarding the type of charge to select, select the Information icon for more information.

    • Enter a Diagnosis Code in the Code field or select Search to display the ICD Lookup window.

      The Assessment field fills with the related information.

    • Select a status for the patient from the Status list.
    • Select the length of time of the call from the Call Length list.
  4. Select Submit to Superbill to send charges to the Procedures module.
    A window appears to confirm if you want to submit the call.

    The information is logged and sent to the Procedures module.

  5. Select Call Status and select a status for the call.
  6. In the Comments section, enter any comments related to the call or attach a phrase.
  7. Select Add.
    The call is saved and logged on to the Communication Component Grid.
