Availability of Features in the CDA Viewer

The availability of certain features in the CDA Viewer depends on where you access the CDA Viewer from. This section provides information about the features available in the CDA Viewer when accessed from different applications. Signing off on C-CDA Documents

You can sign off C-CDA documents from the CDA Viewer without using the PAQ module. If you have necessary permissions to sign off C-CDA documents from the CDA Viewer, the Sign-off button appears in the upper right of Custom View and Full View. For more information about permissions required to sign off C-CDA documents, see Prerequisites for Signing off on C-CDA Documents from the CDA Viewer. This feature is available only when you access the CDA Viewer from the following places in NextGen® Enterprise EHR: The Categories tab The Clinical Reconciliation module Note: The Sign-off button is disabled if the selected C-CDA document has bypassed PAQ. Open the CDA Viewer from the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ)

To open the CDA Viewer from the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ), In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient and select PAQ on the top toolbar. The Workflow window opens with the Provider Approval Queue tab selected. Select a C-CDA document in the left pane. The CDA Viewer opens in the right pane. The CDA Viewer displays Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents in a human readable form. You can customize and filter the display, add comments, or create review tasks. Open the CDA Viewer from NextGen® Clinical Message Manager

The NextGen® Clinical Message Manager uses the CDA Viewer to display details for HIE Documents. In the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager, select Interface Queue Tools. Select a message of type HIE Document. In the Message Detail pane, select one of the Document tabs.
