Set Up Remote Connections

You can use the Remote Connections master file to specify the parameters of the network connection between the central NextGen® Document Management installation and remote NextGen® Document Management locations.

  1. Open File Maintenance.
  2. In Master Files, select System > Remote Connections.
    The Remote Connections List window opens.
  3. Perform one of the following:
    • To add an item, select the open menu button, and then select New.
    • To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select the open menu button, and then select Open.
    The Remote Connection Configuration window displays.
  4. Enter the remote connection name, block size to use for each transfer, and then the time interval to occur between transfers.
    For example, a block size of 4 means the file transfers 4096 bytes at a time.
  5. In Note, enter additional information about the storage location.
  6. Optional: To hide the storage location, select the Hide checkbox.
  7. Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the Remote Connections List window.
