Print and Export Documents from the Search Results

Before you can export documents from the regular Search Results For window, you must clear the Use Categories in Search Results checkbox in the Enterprise Preferences window.

Before you can export documents from the advanced Search Results For window, you must select the Advanced patient result screen checkbox in the User Preferences window.

  1. Open NextGen® Document Management.
  2. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for documents or images.
    The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with the images that match your search results.
  3. To export a document from regular search, select the document, right-click, and then select Export.
    You can also export a document from advanced search. You can select the document by selecting the corresponding checkbox under the Print column, right-click, and then select Export.
  4. In Save As, select the path where you want to save the exported document.
  5. In the File name field, enter a name for the document, and then select Save.
  6. To print the images, right-click the selected document, and then select Print.
    The document or image prints to the default printer for your system.
