Organizing Documents and Images
Before you start adding documents and images to your repository, you should set up an organization structure to classify each document. By using this structure, you can easily locate documents and images in NextGen® Document Management. You must create your organization structure in the following order in NextGen® Document Management:
- Fields which are information areas that are used to file and retrieve a document in NextGen® Document Management. Examples of fields are patient and physician name.
- Document types that refer to the nature of documents or images, such as X-ray, medical record, and progress note.
- Categories, which are broad classifications, such as radiology and correspondence.
