Print and Export Documents from the Search Results

Before you begin Before you can export documents from the regular Search Results For window, you must clear the Use Categories in Search Results checkbox in the Enterprise Preferences window. Before you can export documents from the advanced Search Results For window, you must select the Advanced patient result screen checkbox in the User Preferences window. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for documents or images.The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with the documents or images that match your search results. To export an image from regular search, select the requireddocument, right-click, and then select Export.You can also export a document from advanced search. You can select the document by selecting the corresponding checkbox under the Print column, right-click, and then select Export. In Save As, select the path where you want to save the exported document. In the File name field, enter a name

Search for Images using Advanced Search

You can use advanced search options to find images based on the image scanned date, encounter date, and the person who scanned the images. For more accurate results, you can combine multiple search criteria. Note: Advanced search applies only to patient image searches. You cannot perform advanced search for non-person images. Open NextGen® Document Management, and then on the toolbar, select Search. The Image Lookup window opens. Optional: Enter any patient or image search criteria. Note: If you select one or more document types, then the Advanced Search Criteria window displays the fields associated with the selected document types. In the Image Search Criteria section, select Advanced. In the Advanced Search Criteria window, enter the search criteria, and then select OK. In Image Lookup, select Find. When you search for documents and images inNextGen® Document Management,you can search among the categories, documents types, and fields you previously assigned to each document and image. The search criteria are not case sensitive. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search to open the Image Lookup window. To include images that are not filed to a patient or person, select the Search Non-Person Images checkbox. Search for a patient image by using one or more fields. You must enter at least two letters to perform a search. You can use wildcard characters (*), but do not use a wildcard character as the first character of your search criteria. Note: For accurate search results, you can enter more patient details in the search criteria. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Admin, and then select Preferences > User. The Doc Mgmt tab opens in the User Preferences window. In the Search Options section, select Use Scanned Date in search results, and then select OK. To open the Image Lookup window, on the toolbar, select Search. Enter the search criteria, and then select Find. In Matching Records, select and open a record. The Search Results window displays the matching records. The first column displays the scanned dates in descending order.
