Toolbar Buttons	Description
	Rotates the images and documents clockwise and counter-clockwise
	Adjusts the viewer size
	Highlights the images and documents by adding arrows, text redaction bars, and text-based annotation Note: Annotations are applied based on the configurations set in Admin > Preferences > User > User Preference.
	Opens the annotations toolbar
or	Places the viewer in Select mode to work with annotations and in Zoom mode to view a specific area of the document
	Prints the current document
	Prints all documents in the selected batch
	Moves the current page to another location within the document
	Switches to the next document or opens the next page of the current document

The image viewer toolbar includes buttons that you can use to manipulate a document or image. The following table describes the functionality of image viewer toolbar buttons. Edit Documents and Images

For documents and images, you can view image properties, rename images, adjust the viewer size, change their size, and rotate them. Note: The size of the open document is based on the configurations selected in the User Preferences window. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Double-click a patient record to open its associated images in the Search Results For: window, and then double-click the image you want to view. The NextGen® Document Management viewer displays the image. To view multiple documents and images at a time, on the NextGen® Document Management menu, select Window, and then select Tile Horizontally, Tile Vertically, or Cascade. Scan Documents

Before you begin Your clinic is integrated with NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You have set your NextGen default provider and location in NextGen® Mobile. Your dictator profile is linked to your NextGen® Enterprise credentials in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Your linked NextGen® Enterprise account has scanning access rights turned on in System Administrator. Your linked NextGen® Enterprise account belongs to a security group that is assigned the appropriate document types. You can scan up to ten pages per document and assign them to a predefined document type. When you save your scan, the document is saved in PDF format and uploaded to the patient's chart. Configure NextGen® Document Management Enterprise Preferences

Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Admin > Preferences > Enterprise. The Doc Mgmt tab opens in the Enterprise Preferences window. In Maximum Search Results, enter the maximum number of images, ranging from 100 to 3000, to display during a search. To display the chart-level alerts in the viewer when you access a patient image, select the Enable chart level alerts checkbox. To display the search results in categories when you search for images in NextGen® Document Management, select the Use Categories in Search Results checkbox. Note: When NextGen® Document Management displays categories in the search results, you can select only individual documents for printing or exporting from the search results list. You must open the documents in the viewer to print or export them. To prevent the creation of excessively large images, in Maximum Scanner DPI, set a maximum dots-per-inch (DPI) value.
