Access the Vital Signs Configuration Template

From the File menu, select System\Practice Templates.The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Click the Practice tab to display a list of practice templates. Manage Pediatric Vital Signs Preferences

You can manage/change the preferences of pediatric vital signs used across NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates using the Vital Signs Configuration practice template. The pediatric vital signs include heart rate, respiratory rate, fever and blood pressure. You can also configure Body Mass Index (BMI) for pediatric or adult vital signs preferences, percentile calculation settings, patient height settings, and restore the vital signs preferences to the system default values. Update the Respiratory Rate Alert Preferences

You can update the respiratory rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs in the Respiratory Rate section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Respiratory Rate grid, double-click the row to modify.The Pediatric Respiratory Rate Alerts template opens. Pediatric Respiratory Rate Alerts window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and the lower and upper limits of the respiratory rate for the patient. In the Alert , enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Optional: Select the icon to update other alert preferences. Managing Practice Configurations

The Practice Configuration template is the central location for configuring settings for the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates of different specialties. You can configure settings for specific specialties or for all specialties. You can set default options and configure certain features in the run-time templates.
