Manage Pediatric Vital Signs Preferences

You can manage/change the preferences of pediatric vital signs used across NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates using the Vital Signs Configuration practice template. The pediatric vital signs include heart rate, respiratory rate, fever and blood pressure. You can also configure Body Mass Index (BMI) for pediatric or adult vital signs preferences, percentile calculation settings, patient height settings, and restore the vital signs preferences to the system default values. Access the Vital Signs Configuration Template Update Adult and Pediatric BMI Preferences Update the Heart Rate Alert Preferences You can update the heart rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs in the Heart Rate section. Revert All Vital Signs Preferences to the System Default Values

You can restore all the vital signs preferences to the default system values. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. Restore Individual Vital Signs Preferences

Access the Vital Signs Configuration template. Navigate to the required vital signs. For example, if you want to restore respiratory rate, navigate to the Respiratory Rate section. Respiratory Rate Use Restore <Vital Sign Element Name> Defaults above the respective vital signs grid to restore the default values. The vital sign alert values are reverted to the defaults. Access the Vital Signs Configuration Template

From the File menu, select System\Practice Templates.The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Click the Practice tab to display a list of practice templates. Document Vital Signs Attribute Feedback

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. Select Attributes/Feedback.The Attributes View and Management template opens. Optional: You can add, modify, delete, and view the attributes for vital signs interventions, such as BMI, heart rate, respiratory rate, fever, and blood pressure on the Attributes View and Management template. Select the vital sign intervention, and then select OK.The Attributes View and Management template automatically displays the attributes based on the intervention. Select Feedback.The Attribute Feedback template opens. Enter the feedback, and then select OK.
