Configuring Cardiology Visit Types

You can configure and update the visit types for the Cardiology specialty on the Card Setup Visit Types template. The configured visit types appear in the Visit Type list on the Home Page – Cardiology template. You can also assign and modify the Evaluation and Management coding criteria for each visit type in the EM CODING CRITERIA section. Open Card Setup Visit Types Template You can access the Card Setup Visit Types template from the System \ Practice template. Add Cardiology Visit Types You can add a Cardiology visit type using the VISIT TYPE section on the Card Setup Visit Types template. Modify Cardiology Visit Types You can modify a Cardiology visit type using the Card Setup Visit Types template. Assign Evaluation and Management Coding Criteria You can assign Evaluation and Management coding criteria to a cardiology visit type. Add Virtual Visit Codes to Service Item Library

You must add codes associated with the Virtual Visit visit type to the Service Item Library to bill for telehealth visits on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Open File Maintenance. Open Libraries and click Service Items. Right-click on the desired Library and select Open. The Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. Click the open menu button to the left of Service Item # and select New. Click the question mark in CPT4Code, and search for one of the following codes. 99211 99212 99213 99214 99215 Select the desired code and click OK. In Service Item #, type V after the code. For example, enter 99211V. Your practice can choose a different value for the Service Item #. Click Next. To enter additional codes, repeat the steps above. Parent topic: Virtual Visits

Add Virtual Visit Service Items to Service Categories

You must add the Virtual Visit codes to the Card Visit Level service category to bill for telehealth visits, and to see the codes on the CARD Setup Visit Types practice template. Open File Maintenance. Click Master Files, select System, and then select Service Categories. In Service Categories List Search, enter Card Visit Level. Card Visit Level appears in the search results. Double-click the search result Card Visit Level. The Modify Service Category Information window opens. On the Modify Service Category Information window, click the folder button and search for the virtual visit code. Select the virtual visit code, and click the right arrow to include the code in the service category. Click OK. Parent topic: Virtual Visits

Virtual Visit Billing

The Virtual Visit Billing section is enabled only for virtual visits. You can use the Virtual Visit Billing section to do the following: Document the billing details for virtual visits. Select up to three visit codes and submit to Superbill. Display the details submitted to Superbill. Virtual Visit Billing Document the Time Details for Virtual Visit Billing You can document the time details for virtual visit billing. Manage Visit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing You can enter up to three visit codes for virtual visit billing. Manage Visit Code Modifiers for Virtual Visit Billing You can add or edit the visit code modifiers for virtual visit billing. Submit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing You can document the virtual visit details of a patient on the Virtual Visit Billing section, and submit the codes to Superbill for a virtual visit. Cardiology Provider Workflow on the Finalize Template

The Finalize template allows you to document various patient findings. You can use the Finalize - Cardiology template to do the following. Document assessments, medical decision making, counseling details, and Evaluation and Management (EM or E&M) coding. Submit codes for billing. Open a patient support case, visit document, and referral thank-you letter. Evaluation and Management Coding You can use three types of guidelines to calculate the Evaluation and Management code for Cardiology. Generate Documents You can generate and print various patient documents such as patient support cases, visit documents, referral thank-you letters, and provider communications on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Review and Sign Off Care Plans The Provider Sign Off section enables you to send a request to the supervising physician for review and sign off to indicate that the plan of care provided to the patient is appropriate.
