You can document the immunization details of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select the Adult Immunizations link. The Immunization - Adult template opens. Immunization - Adult Add Vaccination Details of Adult Patients You can document the vaccination details of an adult patient. Document Vaccine Adverse Events You can document the adverse effects of a vaccine. Buttons on the Adult Immunization Template The buttons on the Immunization - Adult template appear at the top of the data grid, using this you can view data, print or fax the summary, view or add patient immunization, and review exclusions. Generate Information from Document Library You can generate patient information using the documents listed on the Documents and Letters template. Documenting Vaccine and Allergy Details of Pediatric Patients
You can add the vaccine and allergy details of a pediatric patients. The Peds Immunizations link opens the Immunization - Pediatric template where you can add the vaccine, medication, and allergy details of pediatric patients. Document Vaccine Adverse Events
You can document the adverse effects of a vaccine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Immunization - Adult template. In the Vaccine Adverse Event Report section, select Add. The Vaccine Adverse Event Report window opens. Vaccine Adverse Event Report To enter the details of the adverse event, do the following: Select the onset date and time of the adverse event. Enter the reaction to the administered substance. Select the appropriate check boxes to indicate the result of the patient's illness. Indicate where the vaccination is done. Indicate how the vaccine is purchased. Select the appropriate option to indicate the recovery of the patient. If the patient had any illness at the time of vaccination, enter the details. Enter the diagnostic test details, if any. Indicate whether any adverse event is reported previously. Enter the details of any family history of adverse events following vaccinations. Select OK. Links on the Intake Template
You can open different templates to document the patient details through the links on the Intake template. The Intake template includes the following links: Standing Orders Opens the Office Services template to create or update orders, document details of diagnoses, and bill orders. Adult Immunizations Adds vaccine and allergy details of adult patients. Peds Immunizations Adds vaccine, medication, and allergy details of pediatric patients. My Plan Records the treatment plan of a patient on the My Plan template. Procedures Records the details of procedures performed during the patient encounter. Order Management Updates the applicable order details. Intake Links Note: The links are also available on the Intake and SOAP templates. The Standing Orders, Adult Immunizations, Peds Immunizations, and Procedures links are common to all specialties. Obtain Test/Code Information for Vaccines for Individual Patients (Immunizations Module)
You can obtain the test or code information for vaccines for individual patient using the Order module template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On an encounter for a patient, open the Order module. Select the Immunizations tab. Select the latest date of the immunization for the guideline to map, for example, influenza. View Immunizations and Care Guidelines Protocols
You can view and discuss immunizations and care guidelines with patient through the Protocols panel on the Telephone Call template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Telephone Call template, and then expand the Protocols panel. Note: By default, the Guidelines option is selected. To view and discuss care guidelines that are due within a specific time frame, select the Show due within check box and select the time period. Note: The Show due within check box appears only for the Guidelines option. To view and discuss immunization details with the patient, select Immunizations. The panel name changes to Immunizations.
