IOP Measurements IOP Measurements The settings in the IOP Measurements section of the Eye Configuration practice template enable practices to choose whether to display fields for documenting measurements using kilopascal values, and to define high and low abnormal values for measurements in mm Hg and kPa on the IOP panel or section of exam templates. Setting abnormal values here causes an Abnormal findings present alert to appear on the IOP panel when one of these values is met or exceeded. iop measurements section These additional fields for kilopascal (kPa) values are saved as additional columns in the IOP data grids on the templates. Additional Visual Acuity Fields

Beginning with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine version 8.3.11, the Use additional visual acuity fields configuration setting is no longer used. By default, all of the visual acuity fields appear on the Visual Acuity extended template, grids, and documents. VA Extended and IOP Extended Fields Read Only Setting

You can decide how many days users have to edit the data fields on the VA and the IOP templates with the Make VA Extended and IOP Extended read only setting. This setting limits users to the configured number of days for editing of the VA and IOP fields. After the configured number of days has passed, the VA and IOP fields become read-only. Note: Users can only edit Visual Acuity or Intraocular Pressure measurement(s) measurements that they entered. You cannot edit measurements entered by another user. If you do not enter a value in the Make VA Extended and IOP Extended read only field, the fields remain editable for an unlimited number of days. Note: The time limit can be changed at any time. If after setting a time limit, to return to unlimited, select zero days to reset the limit to unlimited.
