Edit and Use Preconfigured Procedure Orders

In theProcedure Orderssection, from theProcedurelist, select the procedure for which you want to place the order. The list includes all the procedures entered in theProceduresection of theASC - Intaketemplate. Select the type and category of the procedure order. All the preconfigured procedure orders matching the selected type and category appear in a grid. Procedure Orders From the grid, select the preconfigured procedure order that you want to edit and use. To verify the procedure orders automatically on moving to the Today's Procedure grid, select the Verify Procedure Orders when added to Today's Orders check box. Note: When you select medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions for the selected medication opens. You must acknowledge the interactions to proceed with the order. The details of the selected procedure order appear in the relevant fields. Make the desired changes in the fields. Click Add. Modify a General or Medication Procedure Order

You can modify general or medication procedure orders on the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction practice template. Select a Specialty, Procedure, Type, and Category to display the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid. The General Procedure Order option is selected by default. If you want to modify a medication procedure order, select Medication Procedure Order. Highlight a row in the grid. The data populates in the corresponding fields. Move Procedure Orders to Today's Procedure Orders

You can move procedure orders to the Today's Procedure Orders grid one at a time, or you can move all the procedures at once. The Today's Procedure Orders grid includes filter fields as described below: View my orders - Displays orders selected by the current user of the system. View all orders - Displays all orders documented for the patient. View only unsigned orders - Displays the orders which do not have a value of Signed in the Signed column of the grid. Move Individual Procedure Order

To move an individual procedure order to the Today's Procedure Orders grid, Select the Add to Today's Orders on 1-click check box. Select the required procedure order in the grid. As you select an order in the grid, the system moves the order to the Today's Procedure Orders grid. After all the required procedure orders are moved to the Today's Procedure Orders grid, clear the Add to Today's Orders on 1-click check box. The created procedure orders appear in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Enter Medication Procedure Order Details

On the Procedure Orders section, select the medication in the Medication field. The drug interaction window containing all the interactions for the selected medication opens. You must acknowledge the interactions to proceed with the order. Review the interactions and click Acknowledge. If the Sig field is blank, enter the dose, units, route, and site for the selected medication. The entered values appear in the Sig field. Note: Do not add or update the Sig value directly.
