After you complete a patient's checkout process, you can update the status on the Todays Patient Tracking template.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Select a patient record.
- On the Patient Information Card, select the Patient Tracking button.
Note: Patient Tracking is available only when the patient has an active encounter dated Today. For all other encounters, the Patient Tracking button appears as New Encounter.
The Todays Patient Tracking template opens with the status and location of the patient during the encounter.
- In Status, select Checked out.
- Select Save & Close.
