Remove an Entry Type from the Navigation Panel

In the Navigation panel, you can remove an entry type from the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation panel. Select a row in the grid. Click Remove. If the entry type has associated values, a confirmation message appears. To confirm, click Yes. The selected entry type removes from the grid. Configure Documentation Log Entry Type and Navigational Tabs

In the Navigation panel, you can configure documentation log entry types and assign navigational tabs to each entry type. The configured entry types and navigational tabs appear in the Documentation Log panel on the Documentation Log Config practice template. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation panel. In Entry Type, enter the type of entry. In Navigation item 1, enter a label for the first navigational tab. In Navigation item 2 through Navigation item 5 , enter navigational tab labels that appear consecutively after you select an entry under each navigational tab. Click Template and select the template(s) where the configured entries and the associated navigational tabs appear in run time. To clear all the fields and start over, click Clear. Click Add. Note: If duplicate entries are detected by the system, an alert message appears to notify users. The data is added to the grid at the bottom of the Navigation panel. Edit a Category

In the Navigational Item 2 panel, you can modify the categories in the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Navigation Item2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry from the list. The categories associated with the entry type appear in the grid. Select the category you want to modify. The selected category appears in the field above the grid. Make relevant edits. Click Update. The modified category updates to the grid. Edit the Documentation Log Descriptions

In the Documentation Log panel, you can modify the documentation log descriptions in the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Documentation Log panel . Select a row in the right grid of the Documentation Log panel. The data populates in the corresponding fields above the grid. Make relevant changes in the applicable fields. Click Update. Note: If the selected record is required for regulatory, registry, or other reason(s) or for GIQuIC quality measures, an alert message appears indicating that the record has a value in the field. Edit a Sub-Category

In the Sub Navigational Item 2 panel, you can modify the sub-categories in the grid. On the Documentation Log Config practice template, expand the Sub Navigation Item 2 panel. Click Entry Type and select an entry from the list. Click Navigational Item 2 and select a category from the list. The sub-categories configured for the selected entry type and category appear in the grid. Select a sub-category in the grid. The selected sub-category and the short description appear in the Sub navigational item 2 and Short description fields respectively. Make relevant edits in the applicable fields. Click Update. You can configure documentation log entries such as sections, categories or sub-categories, and descriptions on the Documentation Log Config practice template.
