Add New Items to Work List

On the Pre Visit Planning template, in the Work List panel, in the Other section, do one of the following: Select a work list item. You can modify the work list on the Pre Visit Planning Work List Setup practice template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Pre Visit Planning Work List Setup Practice Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Type a work list item in the empty field and select it. Click Add to Work List. Note: After an item is added to Other Work List, all the selected check boxes are automatically cleared. Add Nursing Care Plans to Work List

The items that are added to the History grid on the Care Management Plan/Intervention template appears in the Nursing Care Plans section. On the Pre Visit Planning template, in the Work List panel, in the Nursing Care Plans section, select a guideline item in the grid. Note: For managing nursing care plans or interventions using the Care Management Plan/Intervention template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Care Management User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Click Add to Work List. To include a new item to Nursing Care Plans Work List, do one of the following: Type in Nursing Care Plans Work List. Add Care Guidelines to Work List

On the Pre Visit Planning template, in the Work List panel, in the Care Guidelines section, select a guideline item in the grid. Click Add to Work List. To add another item, repeat steps 1 and 2. The selected items appear in Care Guidelines Work List. Care Guidelines Work List Note: If a selected guideline item is not due for the current patient, a message appears for confirmation. To add the selected item to Care Guidelines Work List, click Yes. Otherwise, click No. To include a new item in Care Guidelines Work List, do one of the following: Type in Care Guidelines Work List. Managing Patient Care Guidelines

Using a work list, you can view, manage, plan, and track a patient's care guidelines and other administrative tasks and complete them on time. When you apply filters on the Pre Visit Planning template, it does not impact the Work List panel. You can use the Care Guidelines template to verify or update the information related to clinical guidelines, screening questions, metrics, vital signs, immunizations, nutrition, drug therapy, and recent orders. The Care Guidelines section includes a view-only grid which contains guideline items documented on the Care Guidelines template. You can use the Filter field to view information based on the patient's conditions. The filter selections only affect the information in the grid within the Care Guidelines section. Manage and Configure Pre-Visit Details

During an encounter, the Pre Visit Planning template enables the clinical staff and provider to review the summary of the patient's chart and take necessary actions to prepare for an upcoming visit. The template also documents administrative tasks that need to be accomplished before a patient's appointment so that the provider can focus on addressing the patient's health needs during the visit. Pre Visit Planning The Work List panel addresses guideline or care plan items associated with the patient that can be added to the work list to be tracked. The Other section in the Work List panel includes a list of items (with check boxes) to track important details and actions related to the patient care. The Other section includes ten work list options that are shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine . You can also add up to five new options directly on the template in run time. Working with Recommended Care Guideline Items

You can select a goal for a patient using the recommended care guideline items. Recommended care guideline items do not have a check box for placing orders. They have a blue link that directs you to select a goal for the patient regarding the item. You can change this goal later. Encounter workflow for recommended care items, includes: Selecting or updating goals for the patient Update status and patient compliance Recommended care goals and statuses listed in DB picklist are configured on the Recommended Care practice template.
