Record a Range of Motion Findings

The Range of Motion panel is where descriptions and measurements for range of motion (ROM) findings are documented. The body region of the exam template determines the links that appear in the Range of Motion panel that enable you to document additional ROM findings.
Range of Motion

  1. On the General Exam PT – PE template, in the Range of Motion panel, click a link to open the corresponding detailed range of motion template and to document range of motion measurements for that region.
    The Right Shoulder Range of Motion - PE template is one example of a range of motion physical exam template.

  2. Click the Active button to default normal active values for active range of motion.
    The Clear Active button appears.
  3. Click the Clear Active button to clear the default normal active values.
  4. Click the Passive button to populate the default normal passive values for passive range of motion.
    The Clear Passive button appears.
  5. Click the Clear Passive button to clear the default normal passive values.
  6. Click Save & Close when you have finished.
