Anti-D Immune Globulin

You can add the Anti-D immune globulin (RhIG) through the Optional Orders panel. Anti-D immune globulin (RhIG) on Optional Orders panel Note: In System Administrator, medications can be prescribed only if you have the permission for ModulesMedical RecordsMedications. If you do not have the permission, a message appears to prescribe the medication. Anti-D immune globulin (RhIG) is added, but is not be checked for drug and allergy interactions. The order is placed but the medication is not sent to the Medication module. If you want to order Anti-D immune globulin (RhIG) and check for the drug and allergy interactions, you must map the National Drug Code (NDC) ID with the medication in File Maintenance. Also, you must map the default NDC Library for the current practice in Practice Preferences in File Maintenance. Review Optional Orders

You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel. The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Optional Orders Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. The reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. To update the order obtained interval date range, select the row and update the details on the Edit Test Interval w

Place Obstetric Lab Orders

The Obtained Interval range is available based on the prenatal details available on the Gestational Age template template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel. The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appears in the grid. Note: The Obtained Interval date range is based on the details of the Gestational Age template. Initial Orders To order a test through the Historical Test - Quick Entry template, double-click the test name. For the D(rh) test, if the result is negative, the result appears in red color. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Review 24-28 Week Orders

Manage Orders Using Order Management

For more information on Order Management, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Management. The Order Management window opens. Select the order to be updated, and then select Edit. The All Order Management window opens. Enter the details. In the Result/report section, select the Received or Completed check box. The Details button appears when the ordered test is configured and included in Manage Custom Links. Select Details. Enter the details in the Interpretation and Result details fields. Select Save, and then select Close. Create an Obstetrics Referral

You can select the Medications or Immunizations links at any time during the encounter to open the associated module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To select an insurance provider from the resulting list, on the Referrals tab, select the Insurance name field. To learn more about documenting on the Referrals Order template, select any of the informational icons. Referrals Order Enter the insurance policy number in the Policy # field. In the To section, select Obstetrics. In the Provider name field, select to select a name from the Physician list. Select the Location field and do one of the following: Select a value from the list. Select the top blank row to enter a location in the field. To indicate if authorization is required, select No or Yes. To document related details, select the Additional Information link.
