Optimize Usage of Behavioral Health Templates

There is some setup involved to optimize usage of the Behavioral Health templates. In the Behavioral Health Configuration Options chapter, you learn that some of the setup is required and other parts are optional.

The three main components required to successfully bill a Behavioral Health encounter are:

  • Service code mapping
  • Provider-level set up in two master files in File Maintenance
  • Service Categories master file configuration

There are optional settings on the Practice Configuration template that are specific to the Assessment/Diagnosis and Signatures panels. Other configurations that are not required apply to the Home Page – Behavioral Health template. The practice can elect to open the home page by default for every new encounter and can also decide which links appear on the Medical Chart Summary panel.
