Associate Patient’s Active Medications with Diagnoses

Open the Associate Medications template. The Associate Medications template opens. Associate Medications Do one of the following: If you have not specified the problem and the associated medication or if you have only specified the problem in the Chronic Conditions template, then on the Associate Medications template, the All option is selected by default and the Diagnosis, ICD Code, Medication, Dx1, Dx2, and Dx3 fields are unavailable. You can view all the active medications and active diagnoses. Select a medication from the Active medications grid. Select an active diagnosis for first, second, and third diagnosis (that is, Dx1, Dx2, and Dx3) respectively from the Active diagnoses grid. If the Problem description and the associated ICD description are selected in the Chronic Conditions template, the system automatically fills the Diagnosis, ICD Code, Dx1, Dx2, and Dx3 fields. Associate Medications

The Associate Medications template enables you to view and associate an active medication with up to three active diagnoses. You can use the Associate Medications template to associate medications and diagnoses instead of navigating back and forth from the Medications module to the Chronic Conditions template to identify and associate all of the active medications for the problem. The Diagnosis, Medication, ICD Code, Dx1, Dx2, and Dx3 fields are filled only if you have selected a problem and the associated medication in the Chronic Conditions template. The Active medications grid displays all the active medications of the patient and the Active diagnoses grid of the patient displays all the active diagnoses associated with the patient. The information icon provides information about the Associate Medications template. Chronic Conditions

You can view the chronic condition details of a patient from the Reason for Visit panel. The Chronic Conditions template enables you to document the chronic conditions for the patient. In addition, you can view and associate the patient’s active medications with three active diagnoses (that is, Diagnosis 1, Diagnosis 2, or Diagnosis 3) using the Associate Meds link available on the Chronic Conditions template. Select Medication Statuses to Display in the Medications List

You can select which medication status groups to display in the Medications List. All medications with the same status are listed together under that status in the Medications List. For example, all active medications will be listed under the Active grouping. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Medications module. Select Grid Preferences. Open the Medication Review Template

You can access the Medication Review template to review the medication. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, expand the Medications panel. To open the Medication Review template, select Reconcile. Review Medications Manually You can manually review the medications details that are taken by a patient for adherence to the prescribed medicines. Update the Adherence of a Medication You can modify a patient's adherence to medication. Review Medications Electronically You can electronically review the medications details that are taken by a patient for adherence to the prescribed medicines.
