Manage the My Plan Tab Caption and Template Name

You can update or remove a My Plan tab caption for a specialty, practice, or provider using the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a specialty, practice, or provider. Click the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. Select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template. To select a different row, click Clear. In this example, the Family Practice specialty grid has a Labs tab on the My Plan template. The grid shows the caption, the mapped template name, and the sort order. Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration To remove the caption, click the Caption field and remove or update the text. To modify a template name, do one of the following: To remove the template name, click the field and click Clear. To update the template name, click in the field and select a template. Update Specialty Specific My Plan Grids

You can update a specialty-specific My Plan grid using the Assessment/Plan Navigation configuration panel. You can also update the captions, templates, and sequence of the tabs. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. The default configuration for the selected specialty appears in the specialty grid. In the Specialty grid, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template. Modify the Sequence of the My Plan Tab

You can change the sequence of the tabs that appear on the My Plan template using the Sort Order option. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a speciality, practice, or provider. Click the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. In the specialty, practice, or provider grid, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template. The details about the tab appears in the Caption, Template Name, and Sort Order fields. Note: In this example, if you select the My Plan row item, the sort order appears as 2. That is, the My Plan tab is the second tab. Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration To select a different row, click Clear. To remove the template mapping for a selected caption, click in the Template Name field and then click the Clear link. Click in the Sort Order field and then select a number. In this example, to set the My Plan tab as the last tab, select 8. Click Update. The tab sequence has been modified, showing the My Plan

To update the My Plan template layout, you must first select a specialty, practice, and provider on the Framework Content system template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. To modify a specialty, practice, or provider, do one of the following: specialty, practice, or provider To update the specialty, select a specialty. To update the practice, select a specialty and a practice. To update the provider, select a specialty, a practice, and a provider. You can configure the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. From the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel, you can do the following on the My Plan template: Enable a dynamic My Plan template based on specialty, practice, and provider. Modify captions, templates, and sequences of tabs. Remove tabs that are not required for your specialty, practice, and provider. View the layout in run-time based on your selected configuration. Switch between a customized tab to a core tab. You can view the following eight default tabs in specialty, practice, and provider grids of the My Plan template. Copy Assessments from Previous Encounters

You can copy assessments from previous encounters of a patient to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theSOAPtemplate, and then expand theAssessment/Planpanel. Select Dx/AP History. The Assessment, Diagnosis Copy Forward window opens. Note: By default, the All Assessments option is selected and records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. To copy assessments from a specific encounter, select Encounter Assessments. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria inFilter by, and then selectSearch. Note: If the records are displayed from any sensitive encounter, an asterisk (*) appears on the record in theSensitivecolumn to help you decide whether to copy such records and update the current encounter as sensitive.
