Remove/Inactivate an Existing Orderable Guideline Item

You can remove an orderable test item of a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Intervention/Orders Setup panel, select the guideline or test item from the grid. Details for the guideline or test item appear in the fields above the grid. Select Remove. The guideline or test item no longer appears in the grid as active for the selected Reason type. Verify the Successfully Added Order Test

You can verify the added order test item of a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > System > EHR > Order Tests.The Order Tests List window opens. Create Order Tests in File Maintenance

You can create an order test for a patient in File Maintenance. Open File Maintenance. Select Master Files > System > EHR. Select Order Tests. The Order Tests List window opens. ordeer_test_list_window Select the menu icon, and then select New. The Add Order Test Information window opens. In the Test Details tab, enter the following details: In System, select any option from the list. In house lab In Key, enter the order test key. In Description, enter a name for the new order test item. Note: The new order item must have a unique description and key. In Order Type, select Lab or Radiology. In Code System, enter the code system to use for this order. Add Order Test Information To link the NextGen compendium test key to the order test key, do the following: Select the open folder icon next to NextGen Compendium Test Key. Hide Order Test Favorites Groups

Order Test Favorite groups are created using File Maintenance. As you can with other Master Files, you can hide and unhide master file lists. Select the Hide check box on the Modify Order Test Favorites window. This Order Test Favorites does not display in the list when you select Order Test Favorites from the master file list. Setting Up Intervention Tests Orders

You can set up the orderable test on the Care Guidelines Setup template. You can define the orderable tests (formerly protocols) for a guideline in the Intervention/Orders Setup panel on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. Initially, the grid displays all orderable tests for all guidelines in the system. You can select a condition or reason from the Condition/Reason and Reason type field and filter the grid so that it only displays the orderable tests that are part of that guideline. Orderable Tests Setup Panel CAUTION: Changes made to guideline items in the Intervention/Orders Setup panel impact all patients. Changes made at a patient level only impact that specific patient. Patient level changes are made on the Care Guideline Setup template. Add or Modify Order Components

Each type of test performed has a normal range of results expected for the information returned with the completed test. These expected result details are defined using File Maintenance as components of the test. This also eases the use of manual result entry. When entering results in the module the expected result list is shown and only the result and status information would need to be entered rather than all of the information. This section is also used for LOINC mapping (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) between different performing entity components. Select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > EHR > Order Components. The Order Components List window opens. From the List access box, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the Open Menu icon, and then select New.
