Document Mohs Pre-Procedure Details
On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Mohs Surgery Visit. Click the Procedure tab. The Derm Proc Mohs 1 template opens. Expand the Pre Procedure panel. To add surgeon and assistant, select from the Surgeon and Assistant picklists or click the blank line and type the details. To enter a saved default set, click Quick: Load and Save. Select the appropriate check boxes to confirm the consent, identify the correct patient, and verify other details. To document other details, click the Other check box , and select an entry from the resulting list or click the blank line and type the details. Record Post Procedure Details
On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Mohs Surgery Visit. Click the Procedure tab. The Derm Proc Mohs 1 template opens. Go to the Post Procedure panel. To select whether the Patient tolerated procedure well, select Yes or No option as appropriate. To record complications, select Yes or No. In the Procedure performed today section, select the appropriate option to record the procedure that you performed. Document Mohs Site Details
The Site Details panel enables you to review the site relevant details for the selected finding. You can edit the details and add additional information as required. On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Mohs Surgery Visit. Click the Procedure tab. The Derm Proc Mohs 1 template opens. Go to the Site Details panel, and click the skin cancer record that you are treating using Mohs surgery. The application populates the fields on the Site Details panel with the data from the selected record. To modify any of the disabled fields (those in gray) in the panel, click Edit. The Skin Cancer History Log - Derm window opens and all the fields are available for editing. Modify the required details and click Save & Close. Select the Patient verified site check box. Document the Repair Details
On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Mohs Surgery Visit. Click the Procedure tab. The Derm Proc Mohs 1 template opens. Go to the Repair panel, and document the following: In the Repair Type field, select the type of repair performed from the picklist. Based on the selections, the panel is updated with additional fields or options. Some of the repair types, for example, Flap, have a second picklist that adds details. To add anesthesia used, select from the Anesthesia 1 picklist. To add additional anesthesia details, click Anesthesia 2. Enter the number of milliliters of the anesthesia used in the mL field. To add Undermining details, select the No or Yes option. If you select Yes, indicate the size of the undermining in centimeters. To add a hemostasis agent, select from the Hemostasis 1 picklist or click the blank line and type a non-listed hemostasis agent. The provider workflow for Mohs surgery consists of these general steps. On the Intake template, select the Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Mohs Surgery Visit. Click the Procedure tab. The Derm Proc Mohs 1 template opens. In the Pre-Procedure panel, document the required information. In the Mohs panel, document the required information. In the Repair panel, document the required information. In the Post Procedure panel, document the required information. Submit the procedure to the Superbill.
