Plan Types

Individual orders are grouped into plan types that appear in the Order Options section of the My Custom Plan template. The plan type for Order Set appears in the Order Options section on the My Custom Plan template. Upon selection, all of the orders from every plan type appear, making it possible for any order in the Order Set type to be moved to the Pending Orders grid with one click or for individual orders to be entered on row select. A Disposition field and the option to mark it as Refused are available at the bottom of the My Plan panel for easier access. In previous versions of the My Custom Plan template, disposition was available as a plan type. Pending Orders Note: You can manage the Lab and Diagnostics plan types in the NextGen Compendium. You can maintain the Office Medications, Office Procedures, Office Supplies, and Office Labs plan types in the Service Item Categories in File Maintenance. Document the Patient Pre-Procedure Prep Details

Click Prep Type and select an appropriate prep type from the list. If the options are not appropriate for selection, double-click the top blank row in the list and enter the prep type in the Prep Type field. Enter any Comments on the pre-procedure prep given to the patient. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. The Clear button clears the data from the fields. To sort the phrases in the list, select the Summary or Phrase option and then click the My Phrases link. Click Add. The data appears in the grid. View Lab and Diagnostic Orders

Open the Lab and Diagnostic Review template. Lab and Diagnostic Review template In the Lab and Diagnostic Orders section, select the order type. The available orders for the selected order type appear in the grid. If you select All Orders, the details of each order appear in the grid. Add Comments on the ASC Documentation Log Entries

Comments can be added to entries documented on the ASC Documentation Log template. To add comments for an entry type, click Add/Edit Comments to open the Documentation Log Comments template. Select the desired row in the grid. Enter any additional comments in the Comments field and click Update. The comments appear under the Comments column in the grid. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments in the Comments field. The My Phrases/ Common Phrases link allows you to create a phrase that displays in the list launched from the My Phrases link. Add Orders on the Order Management Template

You can add orders from the Order Management template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Home Page template, select the Order Management link. The Order Management template opens. Order Management If orders are not available in the grid, select Add. The My Plan template opens. Note: If you select the Launch My Custom Plan (ord_my_custom_plan) check box on the Practice Configuration practice template, the My Custom Plan template opens. If necessary, select an assessment in the Today's Assessment grid. Add a Patient Prep

Click Prep type and select the pre-procedure prep type given to the patient. To manually enter the prep name, click the Prep type field and select the top-blank row in the list. If the list options are not appropriate for selection, click the top-blank row in the list and enter the prep name manually in the Prep type field. For Prep completion, select the status of the prep. Select Last solid intake date. To enter the Last solid intake time, do one of the following: Click the Last solid intake time field and enter the time. Click the clock to add the current system time. Click Last liquid intake date to select a date. To enter Last liquid intake time click the clock to add the current system time in the Last liquid intake time field. Click Prep results and select the appropriate result after patient prep. To enter additional information on the patient prep, click Comments. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments in the Comments field. For
