Based on the specialty, location, or provider, you can filter information only on Assessments / Plans, Documents / Images, Communications / Tasks, and Lab Results.

The filters that you select on the Pre Visit Planning template are saved, stored, and carried forward for all patients and encounters. For example, if you modify the Specialty field in a new encounter, the filter on the Pre Visit Planning template does not get updated automatically. Instead, the Specialty filter that you had selected in a previous encounter is retained.
However, you can change the Location and Provider filters to the current value or encounter value. For example, if you want the Location filter to always pull from the value listed in the top toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can select Current Location from the list, For Location to always filter by the value associated at the encounter level, you can select Encounter Location from the list.
