Filter Displayed Guidelines Using Additional Filters

You can filter the display in a number of ways on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. You can filter a guideline from the available guideline using the Additional filters. The Additional filters can be used to refine the search using all the filter check boxes. Care Guidelines Paged View Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Additional field, and select choices from the list. To search for a guideline, do one of the following: Select <free text search>, and enter the initial characters of the name of the guideline. Note: You must enter a minimum of three characters to enable the search. To enable filter based search based on the selected filter categories next to the Show selected, select Current filters. Based on the existing selections for Orderables, Recommended care (medication), and Recommended care (non-medication), the result appears. Select Due by, and then select a date from the calendar date selection window. The selected date appears in the field next to the Addition

Filtering Items in the Care Guidelines Panel

The Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines Paged View template enables you to filter what is displayed. Display Specific Active Guideline Item for a Patient You can filter display items for a specific guideline that is active for a patient. Filter Displayed Guideline Item Using the Check Box You can filter displayed guideline item that is active for a patient using the check box. Filter Selected Guidelines in the Active Guidelines Grid

You can filter selected active care guidelines of a patient in the Active Guidelines panel. There are several ways to filter and display only selected guidelines in the Active Guidelines panel grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Active Guidelines panel, to display only items due within a specific time period, select the Due within check box and then select the number of days, weeks, or months from the Show only items due within window. Activate Guidelines To display items for a selected guideline: Select the Display only selected guideline check box. Select the Condition from the list. Note: The grid do not display any items of a selected guideline that has not been activated for the patient. You can see a list of guidelines active for the patient in the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. Paren

Information Displayed in the Care Guidelines Panel

You can view and edit the information displayed in the Care Guidelines panel. NextGen Healthcare recommends you to be familiar with the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines Paged View template for ease of use. Care Guidelines Paged View Active guidelines listed in the patient guidelines section: Patient's Guidelines section in the left pane lists all care guidelines that are currently being followed for the patient. Also called active guidelines. Badges next to each active guideline display the number of items for that guideline that are due. An item can belong to more than one care guideline. For guideline items listed in the panel: Orderable items have a check box. You must select the check box to place an order for the item. The Place Order button remains disabled until you select a check box. Care Guidelines Paged View Recommended Care items do not have a check box. Instead, they have Goals. Recommended Care Practice Template

The Recommended Care practice template enables you to create or modify recommended care guidelines for your practice. These care guidelines are based on chronic conditions. When a chronic condition is added to a patient's chart, the associated care guidelines display in the Care Guidelines template. You create these care guidelines using the Recommended Care practice template. The guideline may include specific goals, statuses and compliance items. recommended_care_template When you select a row in the Recommended Care grid, the associated goal, status and compliance details appear in the corresponding grids on the right. Goals: Provides parameters for a patient to meet when following a particular guideline. Status: Provides status for a guideline to determine if it is a new guideline or existing one that might be changed. Compliance: Provides options to determine if the patient follows the recommended care guideline. Note: Prior to creating the care guidelines, you must set up all the

Recommended Care Options on Care Guidelines

To opt out of the following recommended care items associated with guidelines, you can select one or both checkboxes on the Care Guidelines Setup template: The Opt out of Recommended Care (non-meds) checkbox opts out the non-medication recommended care items. This action enables you to follow only medication related guideline item. The Opt out of Recommended Care (meds) checkbox opts out the medication recommended care items. This action enables you to follow non-medication guideline items. Selecting the opt out check boxes keeps recommended care items from displaying on the Care Guidelines Paged View and the Care Guidelines grid view templates. If you do not wish to see any recommended care items in runtime, you can select both checkboxes and only the orderable guideline items will display on the Care Guidelines template.
