Open the Practice Configuration Template

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All . A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and then click OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. Enable Gender Neutral Physical Examination

When the gender-neutral PE option is enabled, the application can open the gender-neutral One Page – Physical Exam template for providers and allow them to easily toggle between the male and female tabs during the physical examination, regardless of a patient’s birth sex. If the Enable Gender Neutral PE option is enabled, the One Page – Physical Exam template opens with the following additional links: Genitourinary – Opens the Genitourinary Female– Physical Exam template with tabs to access both Female and Male templates GYN Exam - Opens the GYN – PE template Rectal - Opens the Rectal - Physical Exam template When Enable Gender Neutral PE check box is selected the Prostate and Seminal Vesicle(s) fields will be displayed. Enable Gender Related Details in Documents

You can only enable and control gender related details for Master and Patient Plan documents from the Document configuration in the SOGI/Transgender section. To enable gender related details on other customized documents, you must insert predefined macros in the documents. The SOGI details will then appear in those documents. However, unlike Master and Patient Plan documents, you cannot control details from appearing on customized documents. For more information on inserting predefined macros to a document, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Documents User Guide (TX Text Control) for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Enable the Detailed Sexual History Tab

You can enable the Detailed Sexual History tab for your practice so that the providers can document the detailed sexual history of patients and their partners. From the File menu, click System\Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, double-click Practice Configuration.The Practice Configuration template opens. Document the Review of Systems Findings

You can document the findings of a patient's review of systems for multiple systems using a single template or a single system. Before you begin The One Page ROS option opens a gender-specific or gender-neutral Review of Systems (ROS) template based on the configuration of the Review of Systems section on the Framework Content system template. The Select other ROS option displays the practice's systems configured on the Framework Content system template. You can configure the gender-neutral Reproductive ROS template based on the configuration of the SOGI/Transgender section on the Practice Configuration template.
