Set Up Categories for Order Types or Picklists

You can create a new category of order items for an order type based on the specialty. On the Assessment Plan Customization template, Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists section, select the Specialty List display filter. Right-click anywhere in the grid and select Add New. The FC Orders template opens. Select to select from the resulting list or type new information in the fields. Note: When you select an option from the Description field, the associated code is displayed in the Code field. Select Save, and then select Close to return to the Assessment Plan Customization template. In the Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists section, select Save & Close. Remove Order Set Picklists

In the Assessment Plan Customization template, Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists data grid, select the Full List or Specialty List option.The grid is populated with the corresponding data. Edit Full List of Order Set Picklists

In the Assessment Plan Customization template, Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists data grid, select the Full List option. Double-click an order type in the grid.The Treatment Plan Dbp template opens. Make the required changes in the fields. Select Save, and then select Close to return to the Assessment Plan Customization template. In the Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists section, select Save & Close. Add Categories of Service Items in the Master DB Picklist

On the Assessment Plan Customization template, Order Sets (My Plan/CustomPlan) DBPicklists section, select the Full List display option. Right-click and select Add New. Update an Order Set

On the Assessment Plan Customization template, choose a Display option to filter the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section by the Current provider or All providers. Depending on how you configured the order set, select the Diagnosis Group, Provider, and/or Dept fields to select a value from the resulting list. Double-click the order set to be modified in the Order Sets (My Plan / Custom Plan) grid. The Provider's Custom Plan template opens with the items included in the selected order set filled in for the different order types. Make the required changes to the displayed order set. Select Save, and then select Close.The updated data displays in the grid. In the Order Sets (My Plan / Custom Plan) section of the Assessment Plan Customization template, select Save & Close. Create a New Order Set

The My Plan templates display all order sets that are available in the system, including those that are shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The order sets can be based on a diagnosis group, provider, or specialty (department). To manage clinical references, configure categories for order types or the master picklist, refer to the indicated link. On the Assessment Plan Customization template, choose a Display option to filter the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section by the Current provider or All providers. In the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section, right-click and select Add New. The Provider's Custom Plan template opens. Depending on how you want to set up the order set, click the Diagnosis Group, Provider, and/or Dept fields to select a value from the resulting list.
