Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) involves the therapeutic application of manual pressure. OMM can be used to treat a wide variety of common ailments, including headaches, arthritis, stress injuries, sports injuries, and pain in areas such as the lower back, neck, shoulders, and knees.
The details that you document on the OMM templates vary depending on the specialty.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open the SOAP template.
- Set the speciality as Family Practice and visit type as Office Visit.
- Click the Physical Exam panel.
- Click Select Other Physical Exams, and select Additional.
The Udp pe Picklist template opens.
- On the Udp pe Picklist template, select Somatic Dysfunction Findings, and click OK.
The OMM template opens.
- In the left pane, select the OMM template that you want to document.
The selected OMM opens on the right side.
- Document the details, and click Save & Close.
The information is added to the Physical Exam grid.
