You can measure and document the patient's respiration and pulse oximetry readings.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter.
- On Top Toolbar, select Templates
.
The Select Template window opens.
- Open the Intake template.
- In the Vital Signs panel, select Add.
The Pediatric [Age] Vital Signs template opens.
- Enter the respiration per minute within the 0 – 99 range.
- To enter the method of oxygen delivery, do one of the following:
- Enter Method, and then enter FiO2 (Fraction of inspired Oxygen) within the 20 – 100 range.
- Select Room air.
Note: When you select Room air, the FiO2 value is automatically added as 21%.
- Enter the pulse oximetry resting and ambulation readings in Pulse Ox Rest and Pulse Ox Amb within the 0 – 100 range.
Note: If the value entered is not within the range, a message appears to indicate the same.
- Select a source.
- Indicate if the pulse oximetry readings have been measured pre-treatment or post-treatment.
- Enter the location where the finger probe is placed.
- Save the template.
