Histories Template

The Histories template enables you to document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history. The panels available in the Histories template are as follows: Section Description Problem List You can view, add, modify and retrieve patient's clinical problems and chronic conditions. Medical/Surgical/Interim You can document the patient's problem list and social, medical or surgical, diagnostic study, and family histories. Diagnostics Studies You can document the patient's diagnostic tests and its associated results. Family You can document the family history of the patient. Social You can document the social history of an adult or a pediatric patient. The categories in the social history includes tobacco/vaping use, alcohol/caffeine, lifestyle, occupation and so on. Dental

You can use the templates for Dental to document information related to patient encounters specific to dental care. Documenting Dental Patient Encounters You can use the Home Page and Histories templates in NextGen Adaptive Content Engine to document the encounter details of a dental patient. Dental Home Page You can review and document the summary of a patient on the Home Page template. Documenting Dental Treatment Plans

You can view the dental treatment plan history for the patient and add additional comments or treatment information to it. When you add or update the dental treatment plan in NextGen® EDR, the plan automatically reflects in the Dental Treatment Plan panel on the Home Page - Dental template in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The treatment plan information appears in the Treatment Plan History grid. You can add additional details to the grid present in the Dental Treatment Plan. The treatment information that you entered for the current encounter appears in the Patient Plan document. You can print the patient plan document by using the Patient Plan button. Home Page Template

You can review and document the summary of a patient information in the Home Page template. The Home Page template enables you to view and document patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on. Viewing Template Links on the Home Page Template

On the Home Page template, you can view and open links to other templates based on the selected specialty. The recommended workflow for a patient encounter is to begin on the Home Page template. If you set up the Home Page template as the default, then the same template automatically opens as the first template for an encounter. You can also open the generic Home Page template from the Templates module. You can review and document the summary of a patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on, on the Home Page template. You can view patient details such as allergies, problem list, family history, past medical history, and social history, documented on the Histories template.
