Manage Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions and Responses

Open the SBIRT Pre-Screening Questions template. To update a question, select and then edit the question, and then select Update. To update a response, select the question and its response, then update the response, and then select Update. To delete a question, select the question, and then select Remove. To delete a response, select the question and then its response, and then select Remove. To view any modified questions and responses, open the SBIRT Screening template, open the Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panel, and then select Clear for Add. Open the SBIRT Pre-Screening Questions Template

You can open the SBIRT Pre-Screening Questions template on the Custom DBPicklists template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System / Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the System tab, select the All option. Select Custom DB Picklists, and then select OK. The Custom DB Picklists system template opens. Custom DB Picklists In the Select a Custom DBPicklist to Update section, in the Dbpicklist Name column, select SBIRT prescreen questions. In the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel header, select Configure. The SBIRT Pre-Screening Questions template opens. Document SBIRT Screening

You can document SBIRT screening information to analyze a patient's need for intervention or for referral to treatment. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Available section, select Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). The SBIRT Screening template opens. SBIRT Screening Template Select a performed date. Document the following details in the respective panels: Pre-Screening Questions Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions Note: Based on the configuration done in the SBIRT section on the Practice Configuration practice template, you can make the Pre-Screening Questions and Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panels available or hidden. Analyzing Patient Intervention or Referral to Treatment Needs

You can decide if a patient needs intervention or a referral to treatment using the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) screening tool. You can document details to analyze a patient's need for an intervention or for a referral to treatment in the following panels on the SBIRT Screening template: Pre-Screening Questions Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment SBIRT Billing You can configure the location from where you want to access the SBIRT Screening template link. Document Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions

You can document pre-screening questions configured for your practice in the Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panel on the SBIRT Screening template. Before you begin You can enable the Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panel in the SBIRT section of the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Available section, select Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). The SBIRT Screening template opens. Add Practice-Defined Questions and Responses

You can add up to five practice-defined questions and configure multiple responses for each question for the PRAPARE® form. Open the PRAPARE® Configuration template. From the Practice Defined Questions panel, type the question and then click Add. The question appears in the Questions # grid. To add a response for the question, select the question from the Questions # grid, type the response, and then click Add. Note: If you do not add a response to a practice-defined question, free text is enabled for response on the PRAPARE® form. The response appears in the Response grid.
