Findings Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Findings panel enables you to document additional findings associated with a procedure. The findings are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. For more information on configuration of procedure findings, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Note: The additional findings documented in this panel do not display in the Documentation panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template and vice versa. To document additional findings for a procedure, you need to select a procedure in the Procedure panel. After you select a procedure(s), the Findings panel displays the first procedure in the Reason for Visit section. The Reason for Visit section includes the left and right arrows to navigate to the previous and next procedure. The left blue arrow and/or right blue arrow indicates that the procedure(s) is available prior to and next to the

Add or Update Assessment Template

The Assessments link in the My Plan template enables you to open the Add or Update Assessment template. The Add or Update Assessment template enables you to add and update assessments. Add or Update Assessment Grids in Add or Update Assessment Template Open the Assessments Tab Patient's Treatment Plan The treatment plan for the patient can be documented on the My Plan or My Custom Plan template. Patient's Lab Orders You can place lab orders from the Labs tab using the Lab Master template or the Orders console. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template shares information with the Lab Master template and the Orders console. My Plan Tabbed Template Set

The following functions are available on the tabs in the My Plan template set: Assessments- addresses the needs of both ICD-10 coding and 5010 standards My Plan- can be set to use the My Plan or My Custom Plan template; My Custom Plan includes the following functionality: If an advanced imaging order meets the Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC), the system saves the associated AUC information. Hold order processing and a robust Ask at Order Entry feature A/P Details- enter any pertinent comments, differential diagnoses, plan or provider details. Labs- enter new lab orders associated to an assessment; can also be set up to bypass the template for order processing. Diagnostics- includes the ability to: Document Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) scores and other information for advanced imaging orders to meet AUC mandates. Bypass the template for order processing and to display order codes from links pulling from the order test compendium. Referrals- apply provider signatures and any updates to

Document a Treatment Plan

You can document treatment plan for a patient. Before you begin You must enter a diagnosis for the patient before documenting a treatment plan. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, click the My Plan link. The My Plan template opens. If required, select the assessment in the Today's Assessments field. The My Plan template, which is part of a group of templates, uses the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The system defaults to the current working assessment. You can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. The selected assessment appears in the Selected Dx field. The system displays the order set for the associated diagnosis category. Configuring Preferences for Assessments

There are many settings configured at the practice-level on the Practice Configuration template that determine how patient assessments appear in the My Custom Plan template: Assessment Status- determines if recording the status of each diagnosis is a required element in the documentation of patient encounters Staff to Lookup Diagnosis- enables the provider to instruct support staff regarding diagnosis selection by tasking One Click Assessment- time-saving functionality that may or may not be enabled as per your practice's standards Problem List Note- determines whether the most recent note from the current user or from all users displays for the selected problem Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC)- when enabled, selecting an advanced radiology order that meets the criteria initiates related functionality and records data collected on the ACR score window Access the Practice Configuration Template Make an Assessment Status Required Hide or Show the Staff to Look up Diagnosis Link Bypassing t
