Allergy Evaluation Workflow

Patient allergy evaluation workflow for the intake staff, providers, and front office staffs.

Typically, the patient allergy evaluation workflow involves the following steps:

  • The intake staff uses the Intake and Histories templates to begin the visit for the patient. If needed, the intake staff can review the patient's details documented in previous encounters on the Home Page template. Using the Intake and Histories templates, a nurse or medical assistant can document the reasons for visit, medication, allergies, social history, and so on.
  • The provider can review the patient history documented in previous encounters on the Home Page template or in the intake note document the intake staff generates. The provider then documents the patient exam on the SOAP template.
  • The provider completes the visit and calculates the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code on the Finalize template.
  • The front-office staff discharges the patient on the Checkout template.
