Add New EM Coding Bullets
If the CMS Guidelines change or additional EM types are needed, NextGen Healthcare makes updates to the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping template in subsequent releases. If modifications or additions are to be made to the information found on this template, the following instructions describe how to make these changes.
- On the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping system template, access the EM CODING BULLETS section.
- To add a new EM coding bullet, do one of the following:
- In the Edit Fields grid, add a new row by manually entering the data or selecting the options from the drop-down arrows in the edit fields above the grid.
- Click the Add button.
The new row appears in the data grid.
- Click the Add button.
- Add a new row by editing a similar item already listed in the data grid and adding the edited information to the data grid:
- Select the applicable row in the grid.
The Edit Fields found above the data grid populate with the corresponding data.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click the Add button.
The new row appears in the data grid.
- Select the applicable row in the grid.
- In the Edit Fields grid, add a new row by manually entering the data or selecting the options from the drop-down arrows in the edit fields above the grid.
- When you have completed the changes, click the Apply Changes button to activate the changes.
